AutoCAD Training
AutoCAD is the reference software for design, technical drawing and 2D/3D modelling. This course teaches you to produce accurate drawings, master computer-aided drafting tools and improve your productivity on architecture, mechanical or layout projects.
- Duration 2 to 3 days
- Level Beginner to intermediate
- Format On site (your premises) or online
- Price from 1100 € excl. VAT / day
- Lead time 14 days after the training agreement is signed
Learning objectives
- Get to grips with the AutoCAD interface and basic features: ribbons, palettes, command line.
- Create, modify and organise 2D drawings: lines, polylines, arcs, circles, hatches.
- Use layers, linetypes and object properties.
- Annotate a drawing: text, dimensions, symbols and labels; set up annotation scales.
- Use dynamic blocks and attributes to automate repetitive drawings.
- Prepare layouts and manage printing and export (model space / paper space).
- Get started with 3D modelling: solids, surfaces, views and simple renderings.
- Improve productivity: groups, simple scripts, custom tool palettes.
Syllabus
Day 1 — 2D drafting
- Interface, navigation, precise input (snaps, coordinates, polar tracking).
- Drawing objects and modification tools; hatches; layers, linetypes, properties.
Day 2 — Annotating, organising, printing
- Text, dimensions, symbols, labels; annotation styles and scales.
- Blocks, dynamic blocks and attributes; external references.
- Layouts, viewports, page setup and printing; PDF and DWG export.
Day 3 (optional) — 3D and productivity
- Introduction to 3D: solids, surfaces, views and simple renderings.
- Groups, simple scripts, custom tool palettes, drawing templates; work on your own drawings.
Audience and prerequisites
Engineers, project managers, draughtspeople and anyone working in mechanical, architectural or layout design. Prerequisites: basic knowledge of technical drawing and design.
Teaching methods and assessment
Course materials, corrected exercises, a complete drawing produced during the course, end-of-course assessment reviewed by Numersalis, certificate of completion. Participants work on their company's AutoCAD (or AutoCAD LT) licences.
Funding
Numersalis is Qualiopi certified: for companies based in France, our courses are eligible for funding through your OPCO training fund. We help you with the paperwork.
